Inpatient Mental Health

This level of care is typically 5-14 days. Patients are stabilized as they enter this level of care, catering to higher acuity and specific needs.

Inpatient is our highest level of care, in which we provide mental and physical stabilization during an acute episode.

This level of care is a critical part of the continuum of care for those struggling with serious mental illness.  We provide a safe, structured and therapeutic environment for individuals who need more intensive treatment than can be provided on an outpatient basis.

The goal of the inpatient stay is to stabilize the individual who is experiencing an acute psychiatric condition with a relatively sudden onset, severe course, or a marked decompensation due to a more chronic condition or ailment.

Patients who are admitted to an inpatient mental health facility usually have severe symptoms that require around-the-clock care and supervision. Inpatient treatment can help people stabilize their symptoms, develop healthy coping skills and begin the process of recovery.

Includes:

  • 24-7 security
  • Nursing Staff
  • Patients live at center
  • Specialized attention to those who have higher acuity
  • Stabilizes patient from hospital transfer, an outside facility or home
  • Medication Management

Mental Health Residential (MH RES)

This level of care is typically 14-28 days. Patients live at our center while attending clinical programming during the day.

Our mental health residential program provides around-the-clock care for those with serious mental illness. This is a more intensive level of care than outpatient mental health services and is a step down to those who are detoxing from co-occurring disorders/substance use disorders.

For mental health patients, Residential treatment will build a strong foundation into recovery with continued therapeutic programming typically 6-8 hours per day.

We have a dynamic and caring team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses who work together to create an individualized treatment plan for each patient.  Treatment typically includes medication, therapy, and skills training.  Residential treatment can last for a few weeks or up to several months, depending on the needs of the individual.

The goal of mental health residential treatment is to help people with serious mental illness manage their symptoms and live as independently as possible.

Includes:

  • 24-7 security
  • Nursing staff
  • Patients live at center
  • Therapeutic programming is typically 6-8 hours a day and includes individual therapy and group therapy sessions
  • Medication Management

Mental Health Partial Hospitalization (MH PHP)

This level of care is typically 30-45 days.  This is our step down from Residential to outpatient where patients reside in community/sober housing off-site.

Mental Health Partial Hospitalization is a type of treatment that provides intensive care for patients who have completed a Residential Program and are ready to re-integrate back into society.

Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) are typically offered as a day program, so patients can continue to live at home while receiving treatment.  These programs provide a higher level of care than outpatient services, but they are not as intense as inpatient treatment.

PHP typically includes group therapy, individual therapy, medication management, and other types of support. The goal of PHP is to help people stabilize their mental health so that they can eventually return to living and functioning independently.

For some individuals, this may mean being able to return to work or school. For others, it may simply mean being able to take care of daily activities without feeling overwhelmed by their mental illness.

Includes:

  • Patients live in the community (in community/sober housing off-site)
  • Therapeutic programming is typically 6-8 hours a day and includes individual therapy and group therapy sessions
  • Medication Management
  • Life skills reintegration, learning independent living skills

Mental Health Intensive Outpatient (MH IOP)

This level of care is typically 30-35+ days. This is an outpatient program, a step down from PHP, where patients reside in community/sober housing off-site, or in their own residences within the community.

IOPs are typically short-term programs that last 4-6 weeks. This program is an effective treatment option for those who need more support than they can get from traditional outpatient therapy, but who don’t need the 24/7 care that’s provided in an inpatient setting.

This level of care typically involves a combination of individual therapy, group therapy, and other activities such as psychoeducation and skill-building. This program is led by our team of mental health professionals, which may include psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Includes:

  • Patients live in the community (in community/sober housing off-site)
  • Therapeutic programming is typically 3-4 days per week, 3-4 hours per day and may include individual sessions and group therapy sessions
  • Medication Management
  • Life skills reintegration, learning independent living skills
